Chapter & Verse - Select Cuts

I referenced this track for my debut release dreams which s still today being played both on the radio and in clubs. Martin did an incredible job with this one.

Ahead of Chapter & Verse upcoming headline show at Egg London on Friday 18th February, we caught up with him to discuss tracks that have caved their way into deciding the path he has taken for his musical career.

Chapter & Verse - Select Cuts

Fisher - Losing it - this track did an incredible job of bringing sample, bass driven tech house music to radios and clubs around the globe.

Martin Ikin - Hooked - I referenced this track for my debut release "dreams" which still today is being played both on the radio and in clubs. Martin did an incredible job with this one.

System F - Out of the blue - In a lot of my tracks I use trance breakdowns associated with those of the late 1990's era and I've used this track as a reference on numerous occasions. Tracks like Light Go Out and Ashes are still doing great a year or so after release.

Lock & Load - Blow your mind - Everyone loves a bit of nostalgic 90s rave and I'm no different. In some of my more recent tracks you'll hear the mix of spoken wrap vocal and rave stabs and horns just like in this track.

Noizu - Summer 91 - Love the way this flows and the way multiple samples have been used really subtly to create a fantastic track. A definite reference of mine when I'm trying to balance out tech & piano house.
