Crate Diggin - Ann Clue

What track first made a significant impression on you growing up, and what can you recall about that time and how you heard it? (‘November Rain’ by  Guns n Roses)

It’s one of my all-time favourites in the extended version. It’s emotional, and thoughtful…the lyrics are amazing as is the music. And when I listen to it now, I think about how it was growing up with a big brother and a bigger sister in a very old house where we lived like Pippi Longstocking. I had an adventurous childhood with endless possibilities and freedom. I could paint my walls, stay up until night and play games with my siblings. It’s good memories from good old times.

Which track first inspired you to get into music seriously and think about it as a career? (‘Confusion’ 1995 Pump Panel Remix - New Order)

There are a few, and as I am coming from a musical background, I would generally pick a pop song, but as we’re talking about electronic music, this one is very memorable. When I saw the movie ‘Blade’, I was listening to this track over and over again. Though at this time I didn’t even think that I would make my living from music at all:- )

What’s your favourite dance floor track right now and what makes it stand out? (‘In All Your Glory’ Boris Brejcha Remix - Spada & Bonnie Rabson)

I love this track so much!! I play this a lot at the end of my sets as it’s so crazy powerful and kills it. There isn’t one track that can beat it for me :-)

What track do you wish you’d produced and why? (‘Forever Ravers’ – Anna)

Killer vocals and a beautiful, fast forward track. Jealous :-) haha

What track never leaves your bag and why’s it close to you? (‘Roadtrip’ - Ann Clue & Boris Brejcha)

It’s bound up with so many memories…a very emotional time, and still, it’s such an amazing musical piece. I cannot believe it and that we made a good mix between hope and sadness, strength and weakness. It’s just beautiful inside out.
