As an Ibicencan, I am lucky enough to know some very hidden places. Believe it or not, in Ibiza and Formentera, there are still secret places known to a privileged few…and I love the idea of recommending 5 places that you can also visit in winter.

Vila Town - Dalt Vila

It is located behind Vara de Rey and is a very charming square, of medieval influence as it is at the edge of the wall of Dalt Vila. It is a place of terraces, perfectly acclimatized for the cold of winter (believe it or not, here we have cold and much humidity in winter, but it can be carried well).

There you will find classics like Vila Café, Maison Le Vrai, Hostal El Parque... and you can find very interesting people. Locals and foreigners, a very interesting cultural fusion that you can know by drinking a good wine, tapas or whatever you want.

Also for shopping, the area includes very interesting boutiques in which to dress differently. You can find interesting pieces in shops such as Ruta, Religion Ibiza, Revolver, EGB, Histeric Complements... I invite you to get to know them!

Of course I recommend the area of Dalt Vila, there are interesting routes to walk along the coast to climb the castle, only in winter it is not so comfortable to walk if it is cold and wind.

North

There are many places to discover there. My favourite village is San Joan, also the area of San Lorenzo. I always discover new things. Restaurants, decoration shops, small bars with very funny local people, you get involved with them and you can spend an afternoon with a lot of laughter.

I also like Cala Bosh very much, I take advantage of visiting this cove when I visit Davina Moss's studio. A fantastic studio in the middle of a lost forest, where to be inspired to create music.

Formentera

In winter it is interesting to visit Formentera if you are looking for tranquillity, harmony... a place to meditate, reflect, think or simply be calm. In the area of La Savina there are cottages that can be rented all year round and in the area of San Francisco, bars and shops for a stroll. It is the perfect contact with nature and tranquillity. In the area of mitjorn restaurants with a high culinary quality.

The best thing is to rent a bicycle in the port and to visit all the zones with tranquility...

Nature

The best charms of the island are its nature. In summer it is blurred but in winter you can enjoy real and interesting connections with nature. Apart from walking through our fields and beaches that are practically deserted, I am very satisfied to do walks with the dogs of the shelter of abandoned dogs of Sa Coma. I have been a volunteer for some time and there are hundreds of dogs that need the love of a human, that at least for a little while a day, offers them a walk and affection. The walks are daily and with schedules of winter and summer. I am positively surprised to have found many volunteers, especially from England, who include in their "ibiza experience" a walk with these needy animals. I encourage you to get to know them, in instagram you can reach them as @animalesensacoma
