Selected Cuts: Pariah

Sharing five cuts he’s currently feeling, Pariah has dug into his sonic library ahead of his set on Saturday, 28th July to give us a hint of what to expect...

You might know Arthur Cayzer as one half of the hammering live techno duo Karenn but after dropping his first album ‘Here From Where We Are’ yesterday, Cayzer is back in full force working under his Pariah alias, focusing on productions that are ‘an honest reflection’ of himself.

The multifaceted producer debuts at the club on July 28th with Omar-S and FYI Chris, bringing a selection of bleepy house and techno creations to the forefront of our Middle Floor.

Sharing five cuts he’s currently feeling at the moment, Pariah has dug into his extensive sonic library ahead of the night to give us a hint of what to expect…

  Dj Plead - DVE

Awesome, upfront percussive madness!

Blawan - Nims

Probably my favourite track from Jamie’s recent album - the melody goes round and round in my head for days.

Willie Graff & Tuccillo - To The Music (DJ Qu remix)

DJ Qu on a more disco-edit kind of tip - arrangement is very subtle but highly effective.

Duckett - Tension

This track, with its slightly off-key vocals, hints at the same emotional ambiguity as a lot of the weirder garage or early US house stuff but still sounds totally fresh - there’s a lot going on in this piece but I particularly love the subtle switch up in mood that happens when a new bassline is introduced in the second half.

rRoxymore - This Is Not What You Think

Deep and tripped out - the shuffling drums are a highlight for me.
