Selected Cuts: Netsky

Sharing five selected cuts with us ahead of his return to Egg LDN, Daenen’s library covers everything from dubstep inspired beats to sublime, uplifting melodies.

Leading a wave of new breed D&B talent from Europe, Boris Daenen, a.k.a Netsky has remained a firm favourite amongst industry and dance music lovers alike. From curating his own ‘Netsky LIVE!’ shows in the UK to selecting artists for his prolific ‘Netsky & Friends’ nights at Egg LDN, Daenen’s ear is finely tuned to the creations coming from the latest emerging talent on the drum'n'bass soundscape, in addition to churning out his own high powered productions for impacting D&B sessions across esteemed club institutions. Sharing five selected cuts with us ahead of his return to Egg LDN, Daenen’s library covers everything from dubstep inspired beats to sublime, uplifting melodies.

Point Point - F + L (Kanye West Cover)

Brilliant cover of Kanye’s Flashing Lights. Incredible soundscape. Goosebumps in the intro and a great vibe on the drop. For me, this song really showed me what Point Point are capable of. Respect!

Jauz ft Rouxn - Meant To Love You

With his brilliant mix of heavy dubstep influenced bass-lines and a UK garage shuffle in his beats, Jauz has found himself a style that conquered the US. This song has those ingredients but adds a brilliant pop vocal to the mix. Loved Sam’s set on the Netsky & Friends stage at Tomorrowland. So much energy!

Alison Wonderland - Happy Place

Really cool to see an artist tell a story like Alison Wonderland does. Her style is very consistent with everything she does. This video shows you exactly what to expect from her on stage. Check out her mixes online too, great to see her go very left field sometimes.

deadmau5 - Strobe (Dimension Remix)

Another artist who really captured his own look and feel as well as a signature sound. One of the best drum & bass producers around at the moment. Rob smashed it at the Netsky & Friends show at ADE in Amsterdam.

Camo & Krooked - Ember

Two of the most hardworking DJ / Producers I know. And you can hear that in their music. Marcus and Reini have been friends for a long time and I have loved seeing their sound evolve the way it has. For people who don’t know C&K, think melodic minimal techno at 174 bpm mixed with military precision.

San Holo - We Rise

San Holo has a great ear for melody. This style has been big in the US for a while now and I’d love to see this pop even more in Europe this year. Love what he is doing on stage too. Check his live clips for some live guitar action.
