Othon’s sonic universe vibrates with electronic and acoustic instruments, all of which are weaved into a sound that sits comfortably across multiple dancefloors between Berlin and London. Whether he is DJing or performing at the piano, his aim is to connect his audience to both their external environment and their inner soul.

Founder of the pivotal consciousness-focused party Papa Loko, where his dynamic and cosmic DJ sets have gained him a dedicated following and a strong reputation, Othon recently launched his Consciousness Expansion label and is set to take his sonic career to new heights this year.

Ahead of his debut at Berlin Berlin for Homostash, Othon shares five tracks which heavily influenced his sound since he delved into music production….

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

This was the first band that obsessed me as a young boy and their debut album and eponymous track, still send shivers down my spine.

 The Cure - Charlotte Sometimes

Cure’s hopeless melancholy present in their first few albums suited perfectly my introverted adolescent nature.

Current 93 - The Descent of Long Satan and Babylon

Current 93 and David Tibet fed my inner flame for all things esoteric; their mysterious forest-like sound and exquisite lyrics still resonate with my soul.

 J. S. Bach - Prelude & Fugue no 2 in C minor

I played and performed a lot as a pianist in my early years and J.S. Bach alongside Chopin, Beethoven and Bartók, was one of my absolute favourite composers to play.

 Worakls - Adagio for Square

There are a few producers whose talent is not dissimilar to that of the classical masters. Worakls is one of them
