UK house heavyweight Mark Knight brings his flagship events brand Toolroom Live to Egg Ldn for the first time on Saturday March 5th. After enjoying roadblock summer sessions at leading festivals and Ibiza clubbing bastions Space and Amnesia - plus building a growing network of Toolroom residencies around the globe - 2016 sees Mark Knight take his iconic imprint to a new London home. Headlining the party is of course the label head honcho. After a landmark last year which saw Mark Knight debut on Spanish label Suara with a Remix of Coyu & Ramiro Lopez’s much loved ‘Y.E.A.H!’ banger, garner a Pete Tong ‘Essential New Tune’ accolade on Radio 1 for his summer anthem ’Second Story’ as well as getting inducted into Radio 1’s Hall of Fame, it’s fair to say Mark is on fire. Armed with a musical library that knows no boundaries, Mark Knight is set to blow the roof off with a hefty bag of exclusives on March 5th as he welcomes new and familiar artists on a very special line-up across three rooms. Hosting the garden, Toolroom Live are delighted to welcome Slovenian techno legend UMEK back to London. A DJ and a producer with more than 20 years’ experience of playing everywhere – from dark underground clubs in Berlin to shiny stages of EDC Las Vegas. His production credits span releases on labels such as Toolroom, Intec, Great Stuff and his own renowned imprint 1605. Joining Mark and Umek will be man of the moment Rene Amesz – following a string of Beatport Tech House top tens, he is perfectly placed to set the tone of the evening. Following two stand out performances at the Egg in 2015, it made only natural sense for Weiss to be launching his own London residency at the club. Hosting the Terrace, 'Weiss City' will showcase this talented producer's ability to transcend the full spectrum of house music – and give his fans a true insight into his musical talents. An opportunity to invite fellow producer/DJs who Weiss truly admires, this night will also feature special guests Ninetoes and Lewis Boardman who will bring their own signature sounds that are true to that original house sound. Welcome to Weiss City… In the Loft, two faultless labels come together for the first time. London's Love & Other and Glasgow Underground are known for releasing fresh, underground House – and so it's fitting that Illyus & Barrnientos headline the room. This Scottish duo have seen huge success on both labels, with a knack for whipping up the kind of unashamedly big, floor-filling modern house tunes that have propelled them to somewhat dizzying levels of acclaim. Labels heads Kevin McKay and Ricky Simmonds complete this exceptional line-up.
