Egg Presents Leftwing & Kody, Latmun, Tommy Vercetti
Friday 27th January 2017
23:00 - 7:00
Latmun
Tommy Vercetti
Since forming in 2012, Leftwing & Kody
have steadily cemented their reputation as purveyors of groove-heavy
house music. With a monthly show on Rinse FM providing a global audience
for their sound, 2016 saw them rack up releases on Kaluki Musik,
Mobilee, VIVa LIMITED, Truesoul and their own Lost imprint. Add that to
a list of gigs that saw the pair playing everywhere from Amsterdam to
Australia and you can understand why Beatport nominated them for Best
Tech House artist of the year in their annual awards.
Honing
his craft behind the decks as a resident at Nottingham's famous Stealth
club, Latmun, aka Joe Bradley, has since channelled his knowledge of
what moves a dance floor into a series
of productions that have led to him being snatched up by labels like
VIVa and Lost, as well as being asked to remix Green Velvet's seminal
'Flash'. With energy levels set to 11, expect a whirlwind of drums, bass
and deftly combined samples, such as on the irresistible 'Def'.
Sharing his name with the main character from Grand Theft Auto: Vice
City, Tommy Vercetti (aka Tom Cox) is barely out of his twenties but has
already secured his reputation as a rising star thanks to releases on
Do Not Sleep, Simma Black and Definition. Already tipped in Eton Messy’s
Top Five to watch, expect his name to become ubiquitous in 2017.
