What do you imagine when you think of a monkey safari? Is it like a normal safari, but with only monkeys to look at? Or are the monkeys the ones actually taking the safari? And if they are, what are they looking at?

Philosophical questions like these, and more beside, will no doubt be answered when German duo Monkey Safari roll into town for a three hour set at Egg Presents. Brothers, owners of the Charles Bronson club in Halle, their hometown, and, since last year, heads of a new label called Hommage, 2016 is already turning out to be bananas. Dropping two EPs on Hommage, including the hypnotic Innervisions-esque 'On', the neo '90s trance of 'Plexus' and the brooding 'Bernstein', their remixers were drawn from amongst the great and good, with Josh Wink, Uner, Paco Osuna and John Digweed amongst those lending their studio touch.

If this doesn't give a good enough impression of their musical direction, then check out their two latest Session mixes on SoundCloud for two hours of deep techno and tech-house. If you can imagine a monkey safari, in whatever form, then its not much of stretch to conjure up how a third hour will sound when when they bring their monkey business to London while still in full summer festival mode.
