Friday June 17th marks the official opening of the Egg LDN garden, so let’s hope that the Mediterranean weather follows our guests as club favourite Wankelmut returns alongside Holland’s rising stars Lucas & Steve, plus Switzerland’s Croatia Squad, borth of who make their debuts tonight.

An evening under the stars and morning sunrise always adds that extra magic to the party, as Egg LDN channels the alfresco festival and Ibiza party vibe to King's Cross, so who better to kick things off for the official opening weekend of the Egg LDN garden than our international cast of headliners?

Egg Presents… welcomes back Wankelmut, one of Berlin’s new talents who erupted onto the international scene with his filtering 4/4 groove of Asaf Avidan & The Mojos’ bitter-sweet folk song ‘One Day/Reckoning Song’, one of house music’s biggest anthems of 2012. Uploaded to Soundcloud and marked as unsigned, it went viral within weeks, resulting in thousands of plays and causing huge excitement across the scene - Wankelmut had arrived.
Already DJ-ing in Berlin underground clubs like Sisyphos and M.I.K.Z., his booking requests kept piling up! Only eight months after, Wankelmut found himself irrevocably catapulted into full-on pop stardom, topping the charts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands and various other European countries. In Germany ‘One Day/Reckoning Song’ managed to simultaneously hit the #1 spot in the National charts, the iTunes charts and on Beatport - for the first time ever & led to platinum sales status!

Joining forces 5 years ago, Dutch DJs Lucas & Steve are known for crafting serious club bangers including their massive remix of Felix Jaehn featuring Lost Frequencies & Linying’s ‘Eagle Eyes’, which was a Beatport Top 10 smash for over a month. Continuing in hot form with ‘Love Is My Game’, a remake of the classic Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salto tune, Lucas & Steve were named in the Top 3 Beatport House producers, having already impressed with productions on Spinnin’ Records and Armada Music. Currently one of the hottest producers in the sets of Europe’s A-list DJs including Pete Tong, Afrojack, Tiësto, Chuckie and Robin Schulz to name a few, the dynamic duo make their debut at Egg LDN.

Also making his debut tonight is one of Switzerland’s most in-demand and respected deep & tech house producers, Croatia Squad, who’s been delivering high quality basslines and pumping beats on releases via some of the biggest and most respected labels in electronic music, such as Toolroom Records, Enormous Tunes, Ministry Of Sound, Sirup Music, and Milk & Sugar. Best known for his ‘Be Good To Me’ anthem and ‘Electric Masquerade’ EP on Toolroom Records, Croatia Squad also collaborated with Calippo on the magical track, ‘The Conductor’. When not cranking out killer tunes on the tech or nu disco tip, Croatia Squad also compiles the hugely successful annual compilation series 'Croatia The Opening' which contains exclusive chill-out tracks from some of the biggest names in scene.
