Under The Radar: Luther Vine

Our resident shares five emerging producers who deserve a shout ahead of his set on 25th May for MATERIA with Marco Bailey, Vril (Live) & Jonas Kopp...

Our resident Luther Vine is one of the most dedicated young artists in London at the moment. Working at Phonica Records and his huge love for digging records has obviously paid off as the UK selector has a huge record collection spanning house, acid techno, bleepy electro and many more, all of which he brings to the club each weekend. So far he has supported the likes of Dj Rush, Omar-S, Etapp Kyle, Radio Slave, FJAAK, Kiasmos, Colin Benders, Pornceptual, Artwork, Pariah & many more.

His sonic versatility has served him incredibly well throughout his residency... Luther shares five emerging producers who deserve a shout for their enticing productions and distinct sounds ahead of his set on Saturday, 25th May for MATERIA with Marco Bailey, Vril (Live), Jonas Kopp, Luther Vine and more...

Valentino Mora

If you're a fan of deep lush atmospheric techno, Valentino is definitely one to watch, with a string of quality releases on Donato Dozzy's label Spazio Disponibile and his own imprint [DO (Intercontinental Dance Organisation), he's already hit the ground running. He generally plays live with a modular setup.

This record is always in my bag when I'm on those deep techno opening sets.

Alex - aka Baba Stiltz

Even though Baba Stiltz has been around for a while, I've become super interested in his side Alias ‘Alex’.

Following his debut release on Trilogy Tapes under this alias, I'm guessing this will serve for his more minimal house productions. Super hypnotic release, perfect for those 6 am moments.

D. Tiffany

D. Tiffany has already had a run of superb releases, she's already very well established within the underground scene. She's nailing this hybrid 90's tinged acid electro breaks sound that seems to be somewhat in trend right now. This is a remix she did for ANF. Quality stuff.

YAK

This emerging UK Bass and Techno Producer has been on my radar for the last year. Hailing this rugged broken beat percussion-heavy sound, his records have always done the damage on the Egg dance floor. With a big upcoming debut release on R&S, he's most definitely one to watch. Thanks to Andy at R&S for the test pressing of this release, it blew up Egg's Middle Floor a couple of weeks back!

Zep

Originating from Montevideo, Uruguay, Z@P has been churning a constant stream of releases. If you're into this hard-hitting cosmic tech house, fused with electro plus a dash of acid, I would definitely check this guy out. Regularly playing for the Cartulis parties, and at Club der Visionaere in Berlin, he's one to watch. This track is off his latest release on the Japanese imprint Cabaret. Classy techno electro hybrid. Perfect for the after-hours...
