Support Egg London's Chosen Charity

As we slowly ease into the new year we are always on the lookout for a charity that stands out to us that we believe truly believes our attention and supports those less fortunate than us. Our chosen charity for 2015 is the Father

As we slowly ease into the new year we are always on the lookout for a charity that stands out to us that we believe truly believes our attention and supports those less fortunate than us. Our chosen charity for 2015 is the Father Ray Foundation.

The Father Ray Foundation is named after an American Catholic  priest Fr. Ray Brennan. He was a member of the Redemptorist Congregation. Fr. Ray worked in Pattaya from 1969 until his death in 2003. In the early 1970s Fr. Ray was presented with a child that was abandoned. Instead of avoiding or passing on the problem, Fr. Ray decided to take care of the child himself. That decision led to a series of initiatives that Fr. Ray made to help hundreds of underprivileged, unfortunate children and young adults with disabilities. Fr. Ray has passed away, but the projects he started and his vision to help others less fortunate live on. The Fr. Ray Foundation continues to help over 850 children and young adults with disabilities who have been abandoned and deprived of a normal, loving and productive life.

Some of the sites and schools the foundation have set up are:

- Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind
- Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities
- Father Ray Day Care Center
- Father Ray Children's Home
- Father Ray Outreach Work and Drop-In Center
- Father Ray Children's Village

We will have collection buckets around the venue as well as next to the till on entry, please donate anything you can spare for this great cause. Alternatively if you want to find out more about the foundation or donate online please visit http://www.fr-ray.org/
