Sofia's Finest: Metodi Hristov

Metodi Hristov is no stranger to the club and is a firm favourite since we first booked him back in 2015. With a discography covering intense techno tracks to more experimental, off-kilter creations, it’s easy to see why the Set About boss has blown up internationally in the last number of years. 

Metodi joins Ilario Alicante and our resident Luther Vine on 22nd December and ahead of the night, he shares his favourite spots to hang out in his native home of Sofia, from waterfalls to restaurants and more… 

Sofia is a small city, located at the foot of the beautiful mountain Vitosha. Because of that, three of my favourite spots are exactly there. 

Boyana Waterfall 

It's unbelievable that we have such a stunning place just one/two hours walk from the city. Actually, it's IN the city! I recommend going there during the spring - early summer around 12pm when the sun shines right to the top. It's awesome and a perfect place to chill and enjoy the beautiful nature. 

Eco path (Bistrica - Black Peak) 

If you love the mountains and are into trekking: this is your path. I like both! It’s beautiful not only during spring and summer but also in winter. The path goes through beautiful water streams, over small wooden and stone bridges, surrounded by a dense and beautiful wood. I love to run or just to walk there. It's a place where all the bad thoughts leave your head. The training spot. This place is also located in the mountains and it’s only 20min walk away from my house. There you can find iron levers and bars, perfect for a workout. That’s where I'm going for my training sometimes. It's much better than the gym because it's open air, it's in nature and you have the cleanest air. 

Kombinat 15 

This is my brother's restaurant. I'm mentioning it not only because it's my brother’s place. The place is very comfortable and nice looking and offers a lot of delicious things for every taste. 

Yalta Club

Yalta is Sofia’s oldest club for electronic music, opened for the first time about 50 years ago.
