Selected Cuts: Toni Varga

Sharing a taste of what’s to come, Varga picks five selected cuts for us ahead of his aappearance at Egg LDN...

It’s impossible to pinpoint where exactly Toni Varga’s love for dance music stems from. Moving to Barcelona to subsequently discover the infamous Elrow dance music brand, the young Galician already had a desire to experiment, evolve and deconstruct sound from an early age. Building upon his existing knowledge and passion for dance music events, Varga made the move to the White Isle in 2004 and swung a few of his first gigs here - a strong starting point for any burgeoning selector. Fast forward ten years and Varga has released on an amalgam of tech house tinged tracks on Viva, Avotre, Bedrock and lots more. Adding to his list of shows covering Creamfields, Amnesia and Spanish institution Legend Music Club, Varga returns to Egg LDN on Friday, 6th April alongside fellow Spanish duo De La Swing and the latest emerging artist from Italy, Simone Liberali.

Sharing a taste of what’s to come, Varga picks five selected cuts for us ahead of the event, touching on tunes he’s rinsing out at the moment and a recent collaboration with Marc Maya…

Toni Varga & Marc Maya - 'The Freak’ (VIVa)

This is a track that I did with my friend Marc Maya, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Doing serious damage now!

Eli Brown & Mason Maynard - ‘Jungle Cry’ (Relief)

A big banger from Eli and Mason.

Leftwing & Kody - ‘Snap Back’ (Desolat)

I’m playing this song a lot in my sets right now.

Darius Syrossian - ‘Moxy’ (Hot Creations)

For me, this has to be one of the tracks of the winter.

Nick Curly - ‘Bad Blood’  (Knee Deep In Sound)

You don’t want to miss this one from Nick.
