Lilly Palmer City's Finest:

Here the Swiss born DJ & Producer shares her City’s Finest - waxing lyrical about her new coastal home of Noordwijk in the Netherlands, which she keep on falling in love with over and over again.

Making her hotly anticipated atmospheric and spacey techno debut at the club this Saturday June 29th alongside Fatima Hajji, Lilly Palmer is without doubt one of the most promising artists on the global dance scene this year. Her current track ‘Master’ is cementing her reputation alongside releases on the Natura Viva label such as ‘Dusty’ and the ‘Master’ and ‘Before Acid’ EPs, and such energetic vibes guarantee a unique journey through a soundscape of trippy sounds. Here the Swiss born DJ & Producer shares her City’s Finest - waxing lyrical about her new coastal home of Noordwijk in the Netherlands, which she keep on falling in love with over and over again.

Noordwijk

1. The Beach

Living at the beach for nearly 2 years now has definitely changed my life to the better. The Dutch coast is unbelievably beautiful and clean and Noordwijk is one of the best spots in the world to go kitesurfing! There’s no better contrast to my touring life during the weekend, to come home and put my wetsuit on and spend hours with so much freedom on the ocean. Most of the time the winds are pretty strong and the ocean can be rough, but I’ve learned to love and appreciate this challenge.

2. The Dunes

Around Noordwijk you can find an incredible landscape of big dunes in beautiful rich nature, which sometimes reminds me even of Ibiza! Nearby you can find another area to spend hours walking or cycling - it’s called the ‘Amsterdamse Waterleidenduinen’, where water is being cleaned and provided for a major part of the Netherlands and we love spending our time there watching deer, foxes and sometimes even wild horses.

3. The Flowers

The area around Noordwijk is famous for its vibrant colours in Spring. Around April, every year you see miles  and miles of Tulip fields blossoming and your eyes and nose are stimulated by the scents and beautiful bulbsb!

4. The Space Expo

I am a big fan of everything about space, so I found it very funny in the beginning to find that Noordwijk has the official visitor center of the ESA ESTEC! You can even ‘travel’ in the Soyuz simulator - so if you like space you should definitely visit it.

5. The Quietness

Noordwijk can actually be busy if there’s good beach weather, but most of the time during the week the whole town is pretty quiet. I really enjoy these calm days in nature during my off days to gain new strength for my busy weekends touring throughout the world. I can’t really imagine living in a big city again -  I would really miss Noordwijk.

But now I am super excited to travel to one of the craziest and most vibrant city’s of the world to hit the decks at Egg LDN!
