Iglesias Influences

1. “Lost In Music” - Sister Sledge

My mum has heavily influenced me with music. She never used to drink or get on it or anything like that. She would be the first one in the club and come back in the early hours as the last to leave, sober, and dancing all night. She introduced me into music without even knowing it. Nothing was forced, I just fell in love with it all. This for me is one of the greatest disco tracks of all time.

 2. ‘Kiss’ - Prince

I don't think I need to say anything about this. If you know this record well, then you will feel exactly how I do about it!

3. ‘Benediction’ Hot Natured & Ali Love

This was one of the first tracks that made me really want blend underground dance music and pop. I love using vocals within my own productions so I guess this sort of subconsciously make me drawn to vocals when producing. I took this further and make more club ready tracks.

4. ‘Jo Johnson’ – waFF

I played the drums and finished my grades in my early teens and so this for me was a masterpiece of drum fill work in a track. No-one had really thought outside the box like this before in my opinion and I think it has directly impacted what I write today. Everything I do is percussion based and everything is about the groove - this track definitely inspired me to go down the route I'm on now.

5. ‘Heal My Heart’ - Kerri Chandler feat. Treasa Fennie

I really look up to and respect Kerri Chandler. I was lucky enough to release some music on his label a few years ago which was a huge achievement for me. 2 Summers ago I heard Marco Carola play an edit of this and it inspired me to write a more underground version of it. I licensed the vocal and wrote the track in a day. Almost a year later it was released and went Top 3
