Happy 15th Birthday to us!

Over the last 15 years, we’ve welcomed a wide range of electronic artists through our doors, all of whom have left an imprint on the club’s history in some shape or form. There’s been some memorable nights which we’ll never forget, like the time 2manyDJ’s returned in March for a storming set after their last show back in 2003 or the time Pan-Pot left the club well after 11am on New Years Day in 2017.

We’ve seen a wealth of new faces work our soundsystem like Or:la, Mr. G and Tiga over the last twelve months while welcoming back the likes of DJ EZ, Alan Fitzpatrick, Laurent Garnier and the Metalheadz crew for well overdue DJ sets after what seemed like an age.

Humbled to host the finest established and emerging talent from the around the world right here in Kings Cross, we’re honoured to have made long-lasting connections with artists who remain integral to the club’s history.

In the midst of our major refurbishment currently underway, we look back over the years and celebrate some of the club’s pivotal moments with a handful of artists who we consider family and friends from over the last 15 years as one of London’s long-running dance music institutions…

Pig & Dan

Pig: EGG is one of our favourite places to play because it has such a great crowd, it’s a bit like a Zoo on Noah’s Ark but with people instead! Everyone is under one roof partying their ass off and feeling the music. Now with the new soundsystem, it’s even better, and we feel like we are part of a little family when we go to London.

Dan: We’ve played at Egg and watched it blossom over many years. What makes it so special is that it’s where the real the music lovers go to let go. It’s such a positive environment, where you see all sorts of different folk unite and that’s what ignites this unexplainable electric atmosphere. One of the few places left that still pushes the musical envelope and doesn’t let into being commercialised. We always feel at home with the Egg family, and are incredibly honoured to be part of it! Happy Birthday - ROCK ON!

FJAAK

After playing at Egg London for the first time, we decided to make a quick move upstairs to watch the other floors before we leave to the hotel. We got lost for some funny hours. The bad thing was: our flight was f*cking too early haha!

EGG LDN for me represents the true spirit of London Night Life with its great central location, vibe and crowd. EGG is exactly what you want as a DJ, the energy you get from the crowd really pushes you to take the audience to the sonic unknown. Can’t wait to be back!

Played at EGG a few times over the years and I saw it grow from small to what it is now. Always lovely to see the crew as they are the best in making you feel comfortable! If you feel like a chick that just left its egg you will be nurtured by the team straight away! Unique!

Happy birthday to the wonderful EGG crew! Too many great memories over the years and the evolution of the club has been a beautiful thing to see growing and the sound system right now is one of the best in the world thanks to the crack A team in charge of it. 15 years ago I still lived in London and happily recall enjoying Egg’s opening night immensely (London’s electroclash club of the moment Nag Nag Nag headlined the club making a rare sojourn outside Soho). 15 years later, I nowadays live in Berlin though am enjoying Egg even more, in particular, DJing at their always fantastic and equally flamboyant bimonthly bash Berlin Berlin. My first impression I had was the overwhelming kindness of the staff. Everybody was sweet, help- and grateful and I felt really welcome. And when I entered the floor I thought: Oh wow, ok that’s the serious London-house scene! I remember how much the grooves were pumping. Not 100% sure of which room I played at the time. It was for sure not the big one, not the Terrace. I think Basement or in the first floor. The sound was incredible, the house was jacking like crazy, people moving their asses and the 2-hour set-time passed like it would have been only 30min. That’s always a good sign. I can’t wait to return for this special date.

First of all, I would like to start by thanking the WHOLE EGG club for having me on the birthday weekend. I know that this club has a great connection with a lot of artists, and when they told me they wanted to have me for their birthday weekend, I couldn’t be happier…Why? Because first of all, the location is insane, this nightclub has an amazing vibe to it - the people, the music… Every time I go there, I’m so happy to be not only with the whole crew that works there, but also with the fans who create an incredible atmosphere in the club. So I would like to wish Egg LDN an amazing birthday, and I hope there will be many more crazy nights to come in this place!

We've had some great times at Egg over the years, it's always a great vibe and our headline DJ set earlier this year was one we'll definitely remember! I think we ended up playing for way longer than planned as it was such a wicked night.

We LOVE playing EGG and what makes it so good apart from the excellent sound system is the amazing crowds that keep coming back.

What I really like about 'Berlin Berlin' at Egg London is that it attracts a mixed crowd of LGBTI and straight people. It’s really complimentary to the openminded and inclusive atmosphere there. I love all the creative dressed up people who are there to dance and not just to pose around for the camera, largely because the focus is on the music and the no picture policy.And the crowd is cheerful, friendly and receptive to what I play and it’s fantastic to see all regulars. It’s really great to see familiar faces who recognize tracks and come back again and again.
