Four To The Floor: wAFF

The Hot Creations producer reveals his biggest weapons for Familia on April 9th

Since smashing dance floors all over Europe with his 2012 debut EP for Hot Creations, which featured the deadly Jo Johnson, Leeds-based producer wAFF has been on a skyward ascent. Knocking out further irresistible hits for Jamie Jones' label, like the charmingly named 'Fat Gash', as well as putting out releases on Moon Harbour, Cocoon and Drumcode, his non-stop DJ schedule now has him travelling all over the world.

Fortunately for us he stops off at Familia on Saturday 9th April, joining Luigi Madonna and Metodi Hristov for your monthly dose of underground house and techno. To get you in the mood for wAFF's set, we asked him for guaranteed floor fillers.

Rub A Dub & Joey Daniel - 'End Of Discussion'

"I can't stop playing this, just the beat and especially the bassline is chunky as fuck! The sound quality for me is class and sounds sick on a good system. I usually loop four bars right before the second main drop, and when it drops it's mega."

Alex Denne – 'Suicide'

“This tune just sounds wicked. I just really like the bass and the weird fucked up zippy computer noises that come in just before the drop, dope tune!”

Gene Farris - 'Higher Ground (Leonardo Gonnelli Remix)'

“I love this because of how the bass sounds when it drops fully. With the vocal added too I just find it really cool. It's an interesting track with groove. Definitely goes off.”

Luca Maniaci & Ben Teufel - 'Equilibrium'

“This track is just perfect to drop when you're at the height of your set playing techno. I just love all the elements, it's slamming but also really melodic and has a lot of atmosphere to it. Definitely sets a mood.”
