DJ MAG TOP 100 Clubs 2015

It’s that time of year again when we see what venues around the world make it into the coveted DJ Mag Top 100 clubs. 2014 was a huge year for Egg London where we believe we really cemented our place as one of London’s most respected venues. 

The venue itself went through many transformations, constantly evolving to provide 3 floors of music, each with their own identity. The fabled Flipside soundsystem that we originally had on our terrace floor was rolled out across the entire venue, with the basement, loft and garden all receiving tailor-made systems to suit both their layout and the type of music that is played in them. Both DJs and the public alike have all commented on the quality of this bespoke system and we are confident it is now the best within London. 

On top of that the venue has gone through some major refurbishment, with our huge open air garden being unveiled just in time for the world cup back in June. This, along with the open air terrace above it has now made Egg London one of the largest open air venues in the capital, with the ability to adapt to the seasons of course, which was demonstrated during our winter period where the garden gained a much needed roof and we transformed it into a ski lodge just in time for the festive season too. 

Couple all this with new lighting throughout the venue and start of the art LCD screens installed and Egg is now one of the most well rounded venues in the country. And Ibiza’s famous Skinny Kitchen joined us recently to set up shop to not only provide you ravers with quality food at weekends but right the way throughout the week. 

Most importantly though, 2014 produced some of Egg’s fondest memories: whether it was the sellout DJ Mag showcase with house heavyweight Solomun or the official Ceremony Afterparty with DJ Sneak, Todd Tery and Fur Coat. Much loved regular nights such as Circus really came into their own with the likes of Laurent Garnier, Kolsch and Steve Lawler all featuring. On top of that was the unique back-to-back series from Familia with Matthias Tanzmann, Uner and Francois K all performing standout sets. 

2015 has certainly got a lot to live up to but we cannot wait to get into the swing of things this year.
