What Came First
Egg LDN's label looks forward to release number three in 2017
Stepping into 2017, Egg's hatchling
label What Came First is up to its second release. Emerging in
mid-December, Underlord's 'Disrupt EP' is a powerful four tracks of
'90s flavoured techno ranging from the growling 'Block' to the early
morning euphoria of 'When'. It adds to the London producer's
growing reputation, bolstered by the enthusiastic support of everyone
from Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier to Fatboy Slim and Eats Everything.
Look out for the first release of the New Year, and the third from the WCF, by Kyle E. Following up his debut release for Familia, one of the tracks from which was licensed for Jon Digweed's 'Live At South Beach' compilation, the Egg resident delivers three cuts of deep, melodic techno to hypnotise dance floors. It's joined by a remix from David Delgado, who turns in an intricately percussive stripped-down groover that unfolds over ten minutes. Fan of Villalobos, apply here...
