Under The Radar: Michael Bibi

Solid Grooves co-founder shares a range of talent who are bringing a certain edge to electronic music...

Michael Bibi is a London based artist who’s been a fixture of the UK's dance music community for quite some time now, coinciding with a long-running Solid Grooves residency and relentless desire to produce, record and mix since the tender age of 14.

With an extensive discography covering VIVa Music, Lost Records and Madtech, Bibi’s sound of the chunky house returns to our Middle Floor once again tomorrow night alongside Eddy M and Ramin Rezaie.

Ahead of the event, Bibi shares five artists who are under his radar, in other words, a range of noteworthy talent who are bringing a certain edge to electronic music…

Classmatic & Pemax

These two are a deadly duo from Brazil dropping bombs everywhere they go. They regularly send me tracks and they never fail to impress. Almost every set I play has at least one track from them in it.

Ben Sterling

In my opinion, one of the most unique and fresh producers at the moment. His style is different than anything else I am hearing but always consistent with a high-quality finish. An upcoming bomb on a very big label is going to see this guy fly very soon.

Aaran

Hungry and raw. Aaran D's tracks have got a big attitude and the production skills behind them to back it up. Watch out for a big release with the Solid Grooves crew very soon.

Iglesias

Iglesias has come hot out of the oven with a string of rolling tech house thumpers. I would say he is creating his own infusion of UK tech house with Italian rolling techno influences and it's dope! I recently did a remix for him called 'Sleep Like A Stoner' and since then we've been sharing music regularly.

Ramin Rezaie

Ramin is dropping some big heat this summer. Lots of cool edits & a sound that is becoming unique to his own. He recently dropped a track called 'Intrinsic' on the Solid Grooves 2018 Ibiza Sampler and I love it. Another must-have for any dancefloor destroyer.
