Selected Cuts: The Advent

Ahead of his return to Egg LDN on 24th March, The Advent shares five selected cuts from his library...

The definition of the word ‘advent’ is ‘the arrival of a notable person or thing’ according to Google dictionary. Put ‘The’ in front of it and it can also mean a revered musician, pioneer, sound designer, persistent individual, rebel, outsider, live artist and in the case of Cisco Ferreira, a moniker to release under and play his spin his own interpretation of techno.

What was once a collaborative project with Mr.G, The Advent now plays solo and has done so for the last number years, showcasing a raw, energetic sound of acid-tinged techno that’s earned him the status as a renowned producer and unyielding selector in the electronic realm.

With a touring schedule that’s included stints at Berghain, Tresor, Lehmann and Fabrik, Ferreira has built a loyal global following, as well as releasing on a series of international imprints including Dystopian, Naked Lunch, Tronic and lots more.
