Selected Cuts: Pig&Dan

Pig &Dan whacked out five selected cuts for us...

If you’re part of Egg’s loyal Familia crowd every month at the club, you’ll no doubt have danced to the sounds of Drumcode affiliates, Pig&Dan, multiple times in the last five years. As a regular fixture on the Familia back catalogues, Igor Tchkotoua and Dan Duncan aka Pig&Dan have been hailed as one of the most highly regarded sonic pairings in the electronic music scene.

With their imprint ELEVATE signing the likes of Victor Ruiz, Amelie Lens and Sinisa Tamamovic while releasing their own productions on Terminal M, Dynamic and Drumcode to name a few, Pig&Dan have gained a renowned status as techno stalwarts worldwide. Sharing a taste of what’s to come on 10th February for Familia, they’ve whacked out five selected cuts for us covering the rolling melodies they are known for and certain artists they are feeling at the moment…

Massa (7) "Interpretation of Nowhere” [Affin]

This track would be great to listen to in a dark tunnel with strobes going off! It’s one of those dark techno trips that keeps you dancing.

Nocow “Stop” [REKIDS]

It’s the track that reminds me of the perfect after hours, after the perfect night out.

Gorgon City “Grooves On Vinyl” (Paul Woodford Remix) [Realm Records]

Love the fat sub bass on this one with those weird tones and moody chords…

Ron Costa “Reject” [Octopus Recordings] We’ve always been a big fan of Ron Costa, especially when he gets a bit melodic, like with this track.

Butch “Countach” [Cocoon] (This is a promo)

We really like this track because it takes you on a sexy unexpected musical journey...
