Selected Cuts: Loco & Jam

Loco & Jam share five tracks they’re feeling at the moment to get us in the mood for Saturday's Hollywood Forever PT II...

Northern Ireland based duo Loco & Jam have played for us many times before and with a strong presence on Tronic, the pair return to the club this Saturday for Hollywood Forever Halloween PT II: Tronic Showcase with Christian Smith and Drunken Kong...

Having shared multiple releases and remixes on both Tronic and labels spanning Analytic Trail and Variety Music amongst others, all of which have been crafted in their signature style of ‘stadium techno’, the Middle Floor is deemed to be the perfect setting for the guys to showcase the latest sounds which have crept into their library recently. Ahead of the night, Lloyd and James share five tracks they’re feeling at the moment to get us in the mood…

Laurent Garnier - The Man With The Red Face

First time we heard this record was in Space Ibiza back in 2003… Laurent was playing an 8 Hour Set with Scan X! He dropped this track and the hairs stood on my neck. It turns out it probably ended up the biggest Techno record ever.

Joris Voorn - MPX 309

Many years ago at Creamfields, we heard Fanciulli drop this for the first time. The track was too simple with just Kick, Percussion and Bass and yet too powerful. Just shows that sometimes less can be better in a track.

Mathew Jonson - Marionette

The Carl Cox arena at Ultra Miami back in 2008 Richie Hawtin dropped this and that melody just sucked you in and haunted your soul. The absolute beautiful piece of musical Techno.

DJ Rolando - Knights Of The Jaguar

We have seen Carl Cox play Space Ibiza too many times to count but this is the one record that always stands out…Too much so we had to make our own bootleg that everyone from Carl Cox, Christian Smith, Nicole Moudabor have all been playing!

Spektrum - Kinda New (Tiefschwarz Dub Mix)

Not exactly Techno but this Electro record for me changed the sound of Ibiza. 2004 I lived there for the season and this record was getting blasted by everyone and everywhere from Space to DC10 and beyond. I heard Sebastian Leger drop it at a festival in Peru recently and it still sounds incredible!
