Selected Cuts: Drunken Kong

Tronic heavyweight shares five selected cuts...

Drunken Kong has been consistently churning out thundering tracks on a number of reputable labels over the last year. Tronic, Terminal M, Session Womb and Transmit Recordings are just a handful of imprints which have released his tracks, catapulting his reputation throughout Europe and Asia with tour shows alongside Monika Kruse, Christian Smith, Pan-Pot and lots more.

After the news of his latest collaboration with Japanese techno stalwart Ken Ishii titled ‘Fatal Error’ set to drop on Tronic next week, it’s only fitting to invite to Drunken Kong back to the club for our Tronic showcase this Saturday with label boss Christian Smith and a troop of Tronic artists completing the bill. Ahead of the night, Drunken Kong shares five selected cuts with us to get us in the mood…

Ken Ishii & DRUNKEN KONG - Shift [Tronic]

My favourite track to play at the moment. I am really happy with how our collaboration track turned out with Japanese Techno Legend Ken Ishii!!

Ramiro Lopez, Andres Campo - Fluor (Flug remix) [Odd Recordings]

I really liked the original version and this Flug remix is also amazing. Really love the groove and feel to the track.

Goncalo - Sa Punta (DRUNKEN KONG remix) – [Tronic]

I really liked the original version so it was great fun for me to remix this. I have been playing a lot of it and always gets the crowd going!!

Christian Smith, John Selway - Delirium – [Tronic]

Always love the style of tracks by Christian Smith and John Selway! Definitely, something I have played many times in my set.

DRUNKEN KONG - How Far Do We Go – [Terminal M]

I have been playing this track a lot since I first produced it and really happy with the feeling of the track. It works great on the dancefloor!!
