Selected Cuts: Christian Smith

Ahead of our Hollywood Forever Part II this Saturday, Tronic label boss shares five selected cuts which he's currently championing...

Heading up his own label since 1994, Tronic boss Christian Smith is one of the most dedicated electronic artists this side of the globe. He’s also a long-running friend of the club and after our Tronic x Egg LDN showcase held last week on the quays of Amsterdam during ADE, we’re delighted to welcome him back to the club this Saturday for our Hollywood Forever Part II with a plethora of artists from the imprint including Drunken Kong, Loco & Jam and more.

Ahead of the night, Smith shares five selected cuts with us which he’s currently championing…

Andre Crom - Ready To Jack [Tronic]

Been hammering the tune since I got it. Simple, powerful, honest, and groovy techno.

DHS - House OF God (Azzido Da Bass Remix - Agent Orange Update)

Unreleased I used to play this remix all the time 15 years ago, and Agent Orange gave it a nice update. Works a treat!

Christian Smith & John Selway - Delirium [Tronic]

Acid techno with Vangelis like 'Blade Runner' pads. I am very proud of this track. It's not obvious peak time but always rock the house. And most importantly its very different from most techno out there right now.

Ken Ishii & Drunken Kong - Shift [Tronic]

It's really nice to see Japanese techno legend Ken Ishii partnering up with up with rising stars Drunken Kong for a single. The outcome is really nice. Phat groove and great energy on the floor.

RadioSlave, SRVD, feat. Patrick Mason - Elevate [Rekids]

Simple and very effective. I love the groove. The vocal reminds me of old Mike Dunn tracks.
