When did you start DJing - and what or who were your early passions and influences?

I started DJing 17 years ago believe it or not !(boy I feel old), and early influences I would say were Eric Morillo and Carl Cox.

Where did the name KYDUS come from?

The name Kydus comes from Anthony Kiedis 'Scar Tissue' the only book the I have ever read. I could relate to him in little ways and I liked his surname so I thought I would get back into music and start making music as "Kydus"

What do you personally consider to be the incisive moments in your career so far?

I would say gaining plays from Pete Tong and I got a 'Essential New Tune' with my track 'Jupiter Rising' which unfortunately never saw the light of day due to licensing issues. Also playing the Pryda Tent at Creamfields for Eric Prydz was also amazing!

Top 3 cities you've played in?

Glasgow, Liverpool & London

Whats next for you?

Got some solid releases coming out in the first quarter of 2016 including a cool house EP on Stereo Productions.

Catch Kydus playing at Sonntag launch on 27th of December, tickets and info HERE.
