Pig&Dan: Four To The Floor

The Spanish techno duo give four reasons to catch them this Friday

It's been another sizzling year for Spanish duo Pig&Dan. Hitting the top of the Beatport techno chart at the start of the year with the pummelling 'Growler', they scored another number one in March with their album 'Modular Baptism', then destroyed the Essential Mix in April with a mix that opened up the vaults of their Elevate label.

Since then there have been EPs for Drumcode (with a second on the way in September) and Terminal M, the latter alongside label boss Monika Kruse, and only this month they mixed one of the CDs for 'Space Ibiza 2016' alongside Carl Cox and Mark Brown.

They're in good company then at Egg Presents this Friday (August 20th), when they're joined by Hot Creations' young gun wAFF and Bristolian techno and bass selector Dubspeeka. Get tickets and more info here. Ahead of the party, they lifted the lid on the tracks currently getting the most loads on their memory stick...

As an added bonus, you can also read an interview the pair did with Skiddle here in which they talk about Ibiza in the 80s, playing Moog in Mexico and their forthcoming collaboration with Anna.

Fabio Nueral & Fideles - 'Day Off ' (Truesoul)

We really love this track because it pretty much has everything you need in a great techno track; awesome percussion, a rolling bass, a deep, dark bleep that keeps you in the zone and that hook melody that grabs you by the balls!

Rob Hes - 'Perfect Illusion' (Ovum)

We really love how groovy and dark this track is. It's perfect for those early hours in the morning, a track that keeps you moving effortlessly and immerses you deeper into the set.

Aitor Ronda - 'Tornado' (Elevate)

Tornado is another one of those tracks that really is complete and has all the elements to be a dance floor bomb. It has that massive build up and an awesome vocal that sticks in your head. Aitor Ronda is one of our favourite producers these days with a very bright future ahead.

Joris Voorn - 'MPX309' (Green)

This track is an absolute dance floor destroyer and classic. We might drop this one in the Egg at peak time because it's just massive, yet so simple and effective. Give it a listen and see what you think.
