In the early 90’s you both had flourishing careers as individuals, What made the two of you form a partnership and become ‘Neverdogs’?

We were both born and raised in the same city, but what has really made us closer has been love for this kind of music and the fact that we both ended up living in Florence around the year 2000.

The name ‘Neverdogs’ where did it come from?

The name 'Neverdogs' comes from a typical phrase, " not even to the dogs'.

Winter 2005 is when you gained residency at Egg London. Would you say this experience, played a part in the development of your later careers?

Playing at Egg London for the first time was an experience that wont be forgotten. The staff have slowly become our London family. We are always happy to come back, and have great respect for everyone who believed in us from the beginning. The Egg London brand has been, and still is a very good stage in the UK scene for us.

Ibiza plays home to the worlds best talent in the house/techno/electronica seen. Many if not all, aspiring DJs dream about playing 30minutes let alone gaining a residency. So to have a residency at ‘Music On’… well that's an accomplishment. Can you describe what it was like when you first heard the news that you were to become residents?

Well, that's another moment that will remain in in our memories forever. We did some somersaults as we couldn't believe the news, still to this day we are very proud to have reached the fourth year of residency at Music On.

The Neverdogs sound is very distinctive. Where did this sound originate from?

We describe our sound to have a techno groove with oriented house traits, that originates from 20 years experience of researching new sounds.

What are currently your main challenges as a DJ? What is it about DJing, compared to, say, producing your own music, that makes it interesting for you?

The next step as DJs and producers is surely to produce our own album. DJing is certainly what we love because it allows us to travel and meet a lot of people. However producing our own music and being appreciated brings also a great satisfaction.

Are there any up and coming DJs/ Producers that you have heard and really like?

We collaborate with several up and coming DJs/Producers such as Bas Ibellini, Franz Costa, Joey Daniel, Reelow, Outway, Rub a Dub and Marco Yanes. This Saturday we'll have the pleasure of playing at Egg London with one of the biggest producers in the scene, Martin Buttrich!

With so much accomplished, and still on the rise what's next for the Neverdogs, where do you aspire to be in coming years?

Next year? Surely you'll hear even more from us. We are planning a new label but... We don't want to say anything more at the moment! ;)
