Ibiza’s word-of-mouth underground house n’ techno party Unusual Suspects Ibiza returns to Egg London on Saturday, September 23rd with some of the scene’s freshest names including Adam Shelton, Subb-An, DeWalta and Frank Storm whilst London’s groovy Housekeeping crew take over the Ground Floor. Established as a master behind the decks, over the past few years on teaming up with fellow Below resident Subb-an, has seen Adam Shelton’s productions and One Records become one of the most exciting underground house labels around, clocking up over 40 releases from the likes of DJ W!ld, iO (Mullen) and John Dimas. Known for crafting groove-laden sets that touch upon everything from acid house to trippy minimal the duo are renowned for their lengthy B2B sessions and are internationally sought-after selectors booked by leading clubs and festivals in electronic dance music. Their recent release ‘Self Control/Only Now’ EP on One displays their versatile and deep sounds. Known for maintaining a ferocious touring schedule, Subb-an is an artist with a reputation for consistency who’s released on Cabinet, Beste Modus and Spectral. Touring the globe as a regular at the likes of DC10, Panorama Bar, Stereo, Warung, D edge, Amnesia and major league festivals, Subb-an now resides in Berlin which he describes as ‘the world’s most passionate city for music’. Intuitive and free-flowing, the Adam Shelton back to back Subb-An set is going to be one of Septembers clubbing highlights for clubbers. DeWalta hits Egg LDN having just released the ‘Family Jubilee II’ compilation which celebrates 10 years of his Meander label and hailed for his seismic Vakant release ‘Salgaro/Farina’ EP whose mighty bass combines both the funky with the freaky, expect a real journey tonight. Championed by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Sonja Moonier, DeWalta continues to blur the boundaries of techno and house in the unique style. Enigmatic DJ & production duo, Alex & Digby bring their stripped back, minimal low-slung melodic threaded sets as exemplified by recent sets at the Secret Garden Festival and Cocoon at Amnesia in Ibiza. With quirky releases like their ‘For My Process’ album their own Flash As A Rat label as well as their recent ‘Da Dang’ on Cocoon, there’s never been a better time to hear them. Fresh from long hot nights at Hi Ibiza and Ants, London’s four strong party DJ crew, Housekeeping take over the Ground Floor bringing a stinging anything goes, a mix of deep, funky, vocal and soulful vibes with tech house and techno to top it off. Creating havoc on the dance floor this summer, definitely, ones to watch right now. After quickly becoming the toast of the Ibiza 2016 season, Unusual Suspects are rocking their second summer season at Sankeys Ibiza with line ups that have featured Eats Everything, Josh Wink, Mandar, Valentino Kanzyani and more. Their original winter party at Sankeys took the summer crowd by storm and their heady mix of cutting edge techno and house soundtracks some of the most exciting DJ/Producers out there right now. Bringing the white isle passion and music to Egg London’s Easter fiesta on Saturday, September 23rd.
