Friday April 3rd will see Egg LDN taken over by the influential Ultramajic label run by Detroit bad boy Jimmy Edgar. Joining him will be Machinedrum and Chambray for a night of experiential house and techno, juke and footwork beats that will keep you dancing till dawn. Ultramajic is an art and music collective founded in 2013 by Jimmy Edgar and Travis "Machinedrum" Stewart. The releases are adorned in beautifully designed sleeves and touch on all shades and colours of house and techno. Jimmy Edgar himself has released countless inventive EPs and LPs on labels like No 19, Detroit Underground and Warp (aged 18 no less). At an age when many artists are just coming into their own, Edgar is more secure in his artistic vision than ever. Most importantly, after years of shape-shifting into others' molds, Jimmy Edgar is now in full control. In addition to their work as DJ duo JETS, Stewart provides A&R to the label and himself has a pioneering, inventively rhythmic sound that comes on labels like Planet Mu and Ninja Tune and has really be one of the most influential producers of recent years. Last but not least, Chambray is the alias of André Rost – the first Berlin based producer to sign to Jimmy Edgar’s ULTRAMAJIC imprint.
