When the full moon sets on this night, Egg London call all night creatures to come out and party alongside the undead as Halloween madness descends once again for their homage event to the feted ‘Hollywood Forever’ cemetery (the last resting place for many of Tinsel Town’s greatest movie stars) ramped up by an all star techno and house line up set to unleash the wildest of party spirits. Transforming its four rooms across 3 floors, it’s one of Egg London’s stand-out nights where clubbers create their own unique Halloween styles and rave to the grave - well at least way past sunrise Sunday morning! Leading the musical Halloween madness is Canada’s techno fire starter, Christian Smith fresh from his Australian tour and premiering his new ‘“Synergy” album that’s already picking up plaudits for the ‘Neon Jungle’ and his and Drunken Kong’s ’Shiki’ that Carl Cox has been championing. Channelling a funky mix of House and soulful Techno for more than a decade, Christian has never been busier playing globally with regular slots at the biggest clubs and festivals and with his music released on top labels like Renaissance, Drumcode and his very own influential label, Tronic. Joining Christian are one of 2017’s biggest success stories - the duo from Tokyo taking the techno world by storm this year with their debut album ‘The Signs Within’ - Drunken Kong who make their debut at Egg Ldn with a shape-throwing mix down of tricks and tracks. Their ‘To The Piece’ EP, a No. 2 on Beatport’s Techno Sales Chart is huge on the international club and festival scene with key supporters such as Adam Beyer, who played it on 264 of his famous Drumcode Radio Episode show. Richie Hawtin is championing ‘The Rhythm’ and ‘Mission’ from their album and with a killer remix of ‘Voodoo Disarray’ check out DK on the recent podcast on DHL. Hailing from Marseille, Matt Sassari, is at the forefront of the techno scene in France and with his current ‘Ran’ release on the ‘Raw Cuts Vol 9’ world-beating labels such as SCI+TEC, Tronic, Bitten, Rusted, Kinetika, Alleanza and Rawthentic, are beating a path to his door. Matt also co-runs the Panterre Musique imprint. Italian Mirco Caruso is currently lighting up the global dance floor with ’Shades’, ‘No Control EP’ and ‘Jungle Drop’ releases as well as having two tracks on the current Amnesia Ibiza CD 2017. It was the breakthrough, ‘Siren EP’ on Go Deeva Records played by international headliners Dennis Ferrer, Dosem, Sharam (Deep Dish) and Catz n Dogz that first catapulted him into the limelight and since then he’s racked up releases on labels like Gruuv, NoExcuse, Hive Audio, 303Lovers, Stereo Productions and Habla Music as well as running his own imprint 2Drop Records. On the Terrace it’s back to back mix action from the hugely influential Baltimore House duo, DJ Spen & Karizma conjuring up a cutting edge confection of musical tricks n’ treats to die for. DJ Spen & Karizma’s incendiary back to back mix of house, tech, gospel and raw beats will be fuelled by recent dance floor killers including the huge ‘Work It Out’ from Karizma on his and Marcel Vogel’s ‘The Deadpool EP’ and DJ Spen’s huge ‘Think (About It)’ track with Barbara Tucker and impressive remixes on his Quantize Recordings. Featured on RA with ‘The Art Of DJ-ing’ https://www.residentadvisor.net/features/2741, Karizma proves himself ‘a true master of the Pioneer CDJ, using the digital decks in all kinds of inventive and unorthodox ways, creating new ways of playing tracks. One moment you might hear him beating out a drum pattern using three different parts of a track; the next he might be blending loops and effects to build a live remix. He's known for his wide-ranging musical taste, and he rarely sticks to one style, finding links and contrasts in his records in a way few DJs can emulate.’ Their venerated CD in Defected’s House Masters collection as 2/3 of the original Basement Boys producers, DJ Spen & Karizma have played a large part in the development of House music flying the flag for the East Coast deep house sound since the mid-'90s, and continue to fire up the party on every level. Halloween Part II: Hollywood Forever - get your freak on amongst the weird and wonderful decor and enjoy a session of seductive house and techno killers providing the perfect environment for clubbers to lose their minds. Do come in your Halloween finery (your favourite Hollywood icon or dead celebrity optional!) as the Egg London staff will be leading the charge dressing up in ghoulish style for the event.
