GLO with: DJ T., Psychemagik, Bill Patrick, Stephane Ghenacia, ReviveHer

EGG London like to keep things moving, and so it is that they announce a brand new night: GLO is a classy underground house and techno affair with the launch on Saturday May 30th. Headlining will be DJ T, Bill Patrick, Stephane Ghenacia and the ground floor will be hosted by ReviveHer, with as special headliner plus Lovefingers and Jason Greer. DJ T, born Thomas Koch, has been active on the scene for twenty five years now. The German started out in the mid-Eighties with various DJ residencies at his local clubs in Frankfurt, including the now legendary Dorian Gray. Not long later, T founded a magazine that continues to be a bastion of good quality underground music to this day. Although he gave up the editorship ten years ago, Groove Mag is still an authority, as is he whether making great dance albums, hot 12”s or serving up knowing DJ sets around the world. There’s a good chance you have heard of American Bill Patrick, which is no mean feat, because he has never had his name next to a big hit record and has never closely been associated with any specific crew. That’s because he is a DJ, someone who values the art of building a set from the ground up, someone who digs deep, isn’t afraid to take risks and is someone who knows exactly what to drop and when to drop it. He learnt his trade in New York, where he co-founded the much loved Robot party, but is now Berlin based, has his own radio show and is a regular guest for Marco Carola’s Music On and Guy Gerber’s Rumors party. Stephane Ghenacia is an established French DJ from the London underground scene, and currently runs the Colors party in East London, and has done since 2013. Heading things up in the ReviveHer room will be the wonderfully warped and trippy disco sounds of Psychemagik. Over the past few years they carved a unique path in electronic music, being the go-to guys for both original and remix work. With releases on Crosstown Rebels and their own self-titled imprint, the have set a benchmark for consistency of quality productions in recent years with their sets also drawing much admiration. Joining them will be Andrew Hogge aka Lovefingers, an American DJ and producer on labels likes Rvng Intl, plus Jason Greer who rounds off the second room. This is sure to be the start of another fine party series down EGG, so make sure you’re there for all the action.
