Egg presents: Robosonic, Russ Chimes, Curtis Gabriel, XYZ

Friday May 8th is yet another date to mark in your diary because it is then that EGG have lined-up another fine showcase featuring Robosonic, Russ Chimes, Illyus & Barrientos. Robosonic are a German pair who craft high impact house music on labels like Robosonic, Defected and Jackmode. They have also remixed plenty of top names on labels like Still Vor Talent and use things like field recordings in their own tracks. Fusing hip hop with soul, house with funk and more besides, their DJ sets are as impressive as their productions, so don’t miss this one. Next up, Russ Chimes is a producer based in London, UK who has brought amped up, atmospheric and pop-savvy dance music to the foreground at a blistering pace. His stock as a musician has been making a meteoric rise and despite being a relative new comer, Russ has already racked up an arsenal of huge remixes for established artists like Mark Ronson, Booka Shade, Kelis and Marina & The Diamonds, including an enormous remix for Ellie Goulding, which gained worldwide radio play. Illyus & Barrientos are a hot pairing who have released some massively definitive house hits on Glasgow Underground. They often get big support from Pete Tong, have remixed the likes of Alex Adir and recently set the airwaves alight with a mix on Radio 1 on Annie Mac’s show, so are very much the future!
