Leading bastion of underground house & techno Egg London announce their first wave of New Years Eve Headliners in the guise of on fire Berlin duo Pan-Pot whilst Irish techno powerhouse, Matador and Mannheim’s Christian Burkhardt plays Exclusive Live sets.

Unveiling its biggest NYE line up to date, the iconic underground venue doesn’t disappoint with its first two massive headliners revealed, and who will be joined by an incredible cast of forward-thinking established and breaking DJ/Producers. Titled ‘Altered States: A Tribute To Surrealism, it promises to be an inspired production and come and journey into the New Year way past sun rise.

‘Surrealism is the magical surprise of finding a lion in a wardrobe, where you were ‘sure’ of finding shirts’ Frida Kahlo

Teutonic techno at its finest, Pan-Pot’s driving brooding beats and murky sounds have seem them rise to the highest level since their definitive debut album release, ‘Pan-O-Rama’. Unique and uncompromising Pan-Pot will be rounding up peak time club stormers to deeper, more intricate atmospherics and some of the biggest tunes of the 2016 as well as dropping future sounds on Egg London’s Flipside sound system. Classic, bold and timeless…watch out 2017.

Joining Berlin’s finest is charismatic Irish techno innovator, Matador, who’s racked up releases on legendary labels like Cocoon alongside his defining ‘D-Clash’ Remix for Bryan Zentz on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 label. Known for curating a unique party atmosphere at his live shows that techno fans around the world can attest to, Matador’s a regular fixture on the Minus line ups. The only place to catch the adventurous Matador Live this NYE is Egg London.

2016 has seen Christian Burkhardt continue to extend the boundaries of House and Techno with his signature booming bottom end sound guaranteed to raise the energy levels of any dance floor. From guesting at Cocoon in Ibiza to remixing Clarion’s Fear & Self Loathing’ and Nick Curly & Steffen Deux’s ‘Phasor’ and with his own productions like ‘nuF’, ’Delight’ and the original break through track ‘Doubledub’, which surged through the speakers of all major events as well as fuelling after hours across Europe and beyond, Christian’s impressive music catalogue continues to flow on labels like Oslo, Raum…Musik, Cocoon, Deep Vibes and his own label CB Sessions.

His debut album ‘Revolver’, co-produced with Einzelkind delivered another deeper side and Christian has also toured the sound of his Offenbach studio Live on nearly every continent. Mesmerising melodies with groove-obsessed sound pioneer tweaks Christian layers and twists his sounds differently for every event - striving to inspire with every performance and this mighty Live NYE show promises to deliver something really special.

Renowned for their marathon themed NYE events, Egg Ldn, are finely tuning this year’s line up and watch this space for new updates as further Headliners are confirmed in the build up to the big countdown to 2017.

"To be a surrealist . . . means barring from your mind all remembrance of what you have seen, and being always on the lookout for what has never been." —Rene Magritte, Time, April 21, 1947

“Surrealism was a way of life, a kind of existence that left room for playfulness and creativity. It was about living for the moment, with spontaneity and internal intellectual freedom” Cathryn Klingsohr-Leroy, Surrealism
