On October 16th Chicago comes to London with the Cajual Records showcase. Known as the undisputed king of the Chicago scene and head honcho of Cajual records itself, Cajmere aka Green velvet headlines. In 1992, after surviving on cheese sandwiches and maximizing credit limits, Cajmere finally made his first imprint on the dance community with his infectious experiment, "Coffee Pot" (It's Time for the Percolator). Soon after, a Cajmere and Dajae collaboration resulted in a #2 Billboard Dance Chart and International dance hit - "Brighter Days". It was at this point that Cajmere decided to start Cajual Records. Having his own label gave Cajmere the autonomy to attain his goal of developing a sound that was representative of Chicago - thus, putting Chicago back on the map. After a spectacularly successful 2013, which saw Weiss being championed by the likes of Groove Armada, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, DJ Sneak, AFFKT & more, the hit single ‘My Sister’ premiering on B-Traits’ BBC Radio 1 show, whilst staying strong in the Beatport top ten chart for over four months, and countless gigs all over Europe, it was plain to see that Weiss was here to stay. Know for his deep jacking grooves, warm rumbling subs, sweet sharp percussion, delicate vocal treatment, whatever it is about house music that stimulates you the most, you’re guaranteed to find plenty of it on a Weiss record. Third Son is the alias of Joseph Thomas Price, recently relaunched as a solo artist with the premise of honing his original style of music. Born into a musical family and studying many different styles of composition from an early age, it seemed a logical progression to follow the path into electronic music. This path has seen two previous successful music projects and, Third Son promises no less. Having already signed to Noir, Underground Audio, and Material, within a week of the birth of the project, the music speaks for itself.
