Keeping up its Berlin inspired ethos of deep tech grooves, risqué performances and no cameras on the dance floor, Berlin Berlin returns to Egg LDN with infamous Berlin brand Sisyphos heading up the Main Room and the long-running Betriebsfeier taking over the Basement. Co-hosts of the weekly Berlin Soul radio show, Jonty Skrufff and Fidelity Kastrow are both residents presiding over Sisyphos' all weekend long madness. A former music journalist turned globe-trotting DJ, Jonty Skruff moved to Berlin from London nearly a decade ago and has made a name for himself with a dark, energetic sound unafraid to borrow from different styles. A former Tresor resident, Fidelity Kastrow is cut from a similar cloth, regularly turning out epic emotive techno on Sisyphos' Hammahalle floor. They're joined by Juli.N More, the club's booker, whose own DJ sets, selected with an ear trained in classical piano, stretch from the deepest house to hypnotic late night techno. Aras label boss Andre Galluzzi heads up the Terrace, bringing with him a wealth of experience that includes past residencies for Tresor, Ostgut and Berghain and a string of finely crafted releases for the likes of Cadenza and Cocoon. He's joined by well-travelled Poker Flat regular Guido Schneider, whose productions echo the raw, percussive sound of late '80s EBM, and Enough! Music founder Danilo Schneider alongside label regular Eveline Fink. Betriebsfeier founders Coco Berlin and Empro take command in the Basement. Founding Betriebsfeier in 2003, what began as a series of boat parties has evolved into one of the city's most celebrated and longest running parties, with an unmissable summer camp taking place every year. Joining them are Smash TV, aka the pairing of Holger Zilske and Kai Preussner. A mainstay on local labels like BPitch Control and Get Physical, as well as the likes of My Favorite Robot and Culprit, expect only the finest tech house. East End party Homostash set up shop in The Loft, with resident Tafkanik, while in Cell 200 (formerly The Apothecary) the outrageous Kunstkammer salon is presided over by performers Lewis G Burton and Kassandra Powell. Throughout the venue on the night are a host of other eye-catching and eyebrow raising performances from Marnie Scarlet, Luke Harris, Foxglove, Gregory Kara, Von Kunst and fetish star Cynth Icorn. Completing this sprawling sensory experience are Berlin Berlin residents - Kyle E, Ireen Amnes and Fidel - bringing their own inimitable sounds to complement their German counterparts and soundtrack the party where anything goes...
